Salary & tax defaults
These seed the take-home salary and income-tax calculators when you open them. A shared or saved link always wins over them, so someone else’s numbers reach you unchanged.
Used by the income-tax and take-home salary calculators.
Sets professional tax, which is deducted by the state you work in.
Usually 40–50% of CTC. It drives PF and gratuity, so it moves your take-home.
Provident fund basis
Many employers calculate PF on the full Basic; some cap it at the ₹25,000 EPS wage ceiling. Check a payslip if you’re unsure.
